Program Summary

The Code establishes that a building within a Mixed-Use Land Use District may exceed its permitted Floor Area Ratio by providing certain amenities. The addition of these amenities scores the developer points, where the number of points equals the total additional building floor area available to the development. Developers score twenty five (25) points per every one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) of appraised art value added to the development in the form of public art. Public art shall be located outside in areas open to the general public or visible from the adjoining access corridor. Public art can include murals, sculptures, art elements integrated with infrastructure, and special artist-designed lighting. Maintenance is the responsibility of the site-owner.
