The Porch is the Tree is the Watering Hole was an exhibition that took place in the historic Sistrunk neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale. This community-centered project, curated by PAD’s senior project manager, Dominique Denis, transformed Sistrunk’s African American Research Library and Cultural Center into a site of storytelling, cultural exchange, and memory-making—honoring the legacy of the neighborhood while inviting contemporary interpretations.
