Designated in 1985, Benson Sculpture Garden is Loveland’s largest sculpture venue, and it is home to Sculpture in the Park Show & Sale, the largest outdoor sculpture exhibition in North America held annually during the second weekend in August. The gardens are currently home to 190+ individual works of art that attract tens of thousands of visitors each year. Today, the park is recognized as “one of the 200 most important modern and contemporary art sites around the
world” and is listed as the #1 attraction in Loveland by Trip Advisor. Benson Sculpture Garden is a successful public-private partnership between the City and the
Loveland High Plains Arts Council, which produces Sculpture in the Park Show. Each year, profits from this event have been used to purchase and donate sculptures to the City’s Art in Public Places program for generations to enjoy. Stroll through the park, bring a picnic, or curl up with a book and linger awhile.
